On World Press Freedom Day, photojournalist allegedly thrashed by RSS workers in Kerala

On the World Press Freedom day a photojournalist has come under attack in Malappuram district of Kerala.

Fuad Saneen, photographer with a popular Malayalam daily Chandrika, was attacked allegedly by RSS workers inside the Malappuram Press Club this morning.

Fuad has now been hospitalized with injuries to his head and chest.

According to Malappuram police, some RSS workers were carrying out a protest march in the town and were trying to stop the vehicles plying on the road, leading to altercation. Fuad, who was at the spot, tried to shoot the incident on his mobile camera but a group of agitated workers snatched his phone and attacked him.
